Hands of Steal
by Marcela 4A

“After him!” the baker shouted furiously. Jessica immediately ran to her bike and hopped on. Mac was already in his car, and after the robber, who had the baker’s best necklace.

Jessica literally ‘flew’ through the traffic on her fast bike! Suddenly, the worst thing that could happen happened. The signal turned red. “No!” cried

Jessica, as the robber went away. As he left, the robber gave Jessica a sly smile. Something about that crooked smile gave Jessica the creeps!

Jessica was twenty and her older brother was twenty-five. Jessica had short golden hair, almost as bright as the sun. She was tall and surly she hated skirts and frocks. She usually wore baggy pants or shorts and a T – shirt. She loved bossing over Mac.

Mac was also tall and surly, but his hair was brown as a tree trunk. He was humorous, yet dumb at times. He wore jeans and a loose bright green T-shirt. He hated it when Jessica bossed over him! They both wanted to be detectives.

Jessica and Mac lived in Washington D.C, U.S.A. in a small colony of big apartments. It was called Red Hills. They were tall and colorful. Each block had a different combination of colors. There were gardens of flowers, but sadly no clubhouse.
Meanwhile, the king was admiring a pearl that was gifted to him. The pearl showed the future of whoever touched it. The king lived in a beautiful and big light green palace. The front door was the size of a tree! The handle was made of pure gold. The door was the color of water.

THE HANDS OF STEAL were talking about their great theft. The leader said “this will make good money. Tee Hee!” “We’ll be swimming in gold once we get the magic pearl!” cackled another. Now there is something about this group they weren’t humans. They were WITCHES!!! They planned to attack the king the next night, on their brooms. THE HANDS OF STEAL were the group of robbers who stole the bracelet!

Jessica and Mac had told the king that he would need protection. So now both of them were staying at the king’s beautiful palace. When they had arrived they were awestruck at the palace’s beauty and had asked the king to show them the whole palace. They also got an extremely comfortable room!

The day of the attack soon came and the witches were ready. The leader had the biggest broom. The witches wore black pointed hats. They were green. Their mouths were filled with cavities and gaps. (They lost a lot of teeth!)

The moon was shining brightly as the witches raced through the night sky on their brooms. The leader cackled as they landed quietly on the grass near the palace.

The evil creatures had dark red wands. (The color of blood) they took the wands and moved in as quiet as mice. The leader was the first to see the mighty pearl. Just as she was going see her future, three loud voices stopped her “don’t you touch that pearl!” the witch froze and turned around to see Mac, Jessica and the king.

The three of them (Mac, Jessica and the king) gasped in horror to see the real thieves. “No!” the witches cried. Mac limped to the phone, still not recovered from seeing who the real thieves were. THE HANDS OF STEAL tried to make a run for it, but Jessica beat them to the door.

The witches tried using their magic wands but the police smashed through the door with guns and handcuffed the witches. The witches were caught and put in jail.

Thus America, the king and his pearl were saved from witchcraft.

THE END!!
