King Arthur

In the 19th century in Britain there was a kingdom with no king and a boy named Arthur who was poor and had no family.
Arthur had a job of cleaning swords, polishing shoes, and shining up armors. It was hard work but it was worth it as Arthur had to buy food and not starve to death. Arthur wished he was in a wealthy family.
One day there was a contest in which anyone could attend. The contest was simple, all you had to do was pull a sword out of a stone and you become the king. Arthur wanted to enter this contest and have his own sword so he could sell it for a good price. Arthur just didn’t know the fact that if he pulls the sword, he could become the king.
As soon as Arthur got his turn everyone kept saying, “How could he pull the sword out, he is just a small kid who is really poor.” Arthur heard what they said but ignored them. When Arthur got a grip on the sword he cleanly pulled the sword out and everyone gasped. People said, “Could he really be our new king?” Arthur said, “What new king?” A man from the back said, “It is your destiny to become king, it says so on the stone.” When Arthur read what was written on the stone he was surprised!
Arthur really didn’t know if he wanted to be king because he was a poor boy with no family or home, so now he had to be king with tons of responsibilities.
The next day Arthur thought of selling the throne. The first person who he would see would become the new king and would be given the responsibilities of the king. The first person he saw was an old man.
When Arthur asked the old man if he wanted the sword the old man suddenly said, “King Arthur, King Arthur!” Arthur said, “No, no, no, I am not willing to be king’’. But then the old man said, “But it your destiny to become the king as I am the Great King George’s royal sorcerer and you are King George’s son.” Arthur was astonished. “Long ago the King was going to a war and in that war King George was badly wounded, he was about to die, so to keep you safe he abandoned you. After that the King George stuck his sword in a stone for the new king.” the old man said.
After hearing this Arthur was convinced it was his destiny to become the king. So from then on Arthur had his own palace and was called King Arthur and all was well.
