A Memorable Experience
By Siddharth, 10B
As I catapulted through the air,
My life flashed before my eyes.
Flying without a halt,
Not a soul heard my cries.
I stood at the doorway,
A warm breeze in my face,
I just watched the hidden shadows
As their bodies were beaten with a mace.
No one could hear their pleas,
While they slowly faded.
Then came the fleas,
Their heinous eyes gleamed as they feasted.
I had done naught,
To help save their lives.
If only I had fought,
To let their widows stay wives.
As these scenes rushed through my head,
I liberated my last breath.
A final look at the sea,
Before I embraced death.
